The Warm Rails
Traveling by train is like watching a film. The views outside transition steadily, but in a deliberate, rhythmic pace. New elements are gradually introduced, foreshadowing the scene change, and the big reveals only show up when they are appropriately dramatic. It's slow, and it's sleepy, and everything is gorgeous.
I did not, however, expect train food to be so completely inedible. Do people get scurvy on long train rides? I would kill for an apple about now.
